Stephen Schrey is a engaged in a full-time practice as a mediator and arbitrator focusing on:

He is skilled at evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the parties’ positions in such disputes both before and during litigation.  He brings to any dispute an empathetic understanding of the parties and the underlying dynamics.  He tailors the ADR process for both mediation and arbitration as best fits the parties and their dispute.

Mr. Schrey is persistent as needed while maintaining a good sense of humor. He has used these skills in hundreds of ADR engagements, helping the parties resolve a wide variety of disputes as a mediator, early neutral evaluator, arbitrator, or court settlement panelist. He serves as a neutral for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the Bar Association of San Francisco, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Sacramento, Amador, and Calaveras County Superior Courts. He is also on the American Arbitration Association commercial arbitrator and mediator panels and Kaiser Permanente arbitrator panel.
